Christmas Wreath Contest
Each year, as part of the "Celebration in the Oaks," garden clubs in the New Orleans area design and decorate wreaths to be placed around the carousel in New Orleans City Park. The theme changes every year, but always includes "Mr. Bingle."

Scarecrow Trail
During the Fall Garden Festival at New Orleans Botanical Garden, individuals, families, businesses, civic organizations, and schools are invited to create a one of a kind scarecrow for the Scarecrow Trail. Scarecrows fall into either traditional, scary, or funny categories and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place are awarded out of those categories.. Scarecrows are on display during the month of October.
Scarecrow - 2020
Terrytown Garden Club won 1st place in the "traditional category" this year at the Scarecrow Trail in the Botanical Garden, City Park. There were limited entries because of Covid-19, with fewer people frequenting the garden. The entry was named "Home Schooling," and was crafted by Donna Cline. |
